What and How to use the sections in a word document?
The section is a method of dividing a word document into multiple types. In a word, the sections break are usually used to allow to apply different formatting options to different parts of the documents.
Types of Section Break
- Next Page: This will divide the document into 2 different sections and the next paragraph of your document will move to the next page. Also, all your styles will end in the previous section once you create Next page
- Continuous: This will divide the document into 2 different sections. However, this Continuous section break with not moving your content to the next page of your document.
- Even Pages: This will divide the document into 2 different sections usually will have a different format for Even pages
- Odd Pages: This will divide the document into 2 different sections usually will have a different format for odd pages.
Remove a section in a word document
- Navigate to Home enable to Paragraph mark all your show section breaks available will showcase
- Place your cursor just before the section break and press the Delete key.
Key shortcut
To enable Paragraph mark: Ctrl + Shift + 8
To get section: Alt + I + B
