Sometimes you need to use Brackets


This is to ensure that the calculations are performed in the order that you need. The need for brackets occurs when you mix plus or minus with a divide or multiply.

Mathematically speaking multiplication and division are more important than addition and subtraction. The multiplication and division operations will be calculated before addition and subtraction

Always remember the BODMAS and PEDMAS Rule:

BODMAS is an acronym and it stands for Bracket, Order, Division, Multiplication, Addition and Subtraction.

PEDMAS is an acronym and it stands for Parentheses, Exponents, Division, Multiplication, Addition and Subtraction is the synonym of BODMAS.
